As I have said before, Nora is like a toy for Mya and she likes to play dress up with her. Nora had a really great time with this a few weeks ago when they wore wigs and hats. It was pretty funny to watch Mya trying to get the wig 'just right' while Nora was attempting to stuff it in her mouth. Who needs TV when you can watch this?
Back in February Papa and Grandma DeBlois came to visit us for the weekend. It was so great to visit with them! Mya loved having them around and was sad to see them leave of course. Nora was a bit unsure in the beginning about who was actually coming into our house, but after numerous hours of simply staring at them she was comfortable enough to stop being serious Nora and become happy Nora. She's a very cautious baby when it comes to new people, she really needs to check them out for awhile. They got to come watch both girls at swim class and were gracious enough to watch them while Joel and I went to a UD game. It was a great weekend! I didn't get many pictures, but here is one of Nora showing her grandparents her giant smile and her new favorite thing...her tongue.
The weather has been so wonderful that Mya finally got to go outside and check out the new bike she got from Santa. I think it's still a little too big for her, but Dad and Mya are convinced it will be ok. When I see her letting it crash to the ground because her legs can't quite reach the ground at the street corners, I think she needs a size down...but so far I am outnumbered in this battle. It did take her awhile to get used to the brakes and getting on and off but she'll get it (I hope). She has gone as far as to wear her wrist, elbow and knee guards - just in case -. Ugh....I see this not ending well.
Over the past weekend Joel and I headed to Las Vegas for my cousin Lindsey's wedding. My mom, two of my aunts, and another cousin all flew out as well. It was so great to see everyone, visit Vegas, sleep in, and eat out! Friday night Lindsey had a bachelorette party at Tao; it was crowded and smokey and loud...something I haven't done in many years! We had a good time and I got to see and old friend of mine who works there. The wedding was beautiful, Lindsey looked amazing and Pat was very handsome! After having so much fun though it was nice to come home and be with the girls again. We missed them and Mya told me that she didn't want us to go anywhere again...Thank you Grandma Linda for watching the girls!

Isabelle used the "crash" method of stopping for about 3 months before she decided to learn the right way! We used to practice on a line in the sidewalk at the park - if she crossed the line, that meant she got run over. Kind of gruesome, but eventually it worked!
