Old Family Fun

I recently scanned some pictures from when I was younger. Here are some of my favorites!

Too Much Snow & Not Enough Swim

There has certainly been more than enough snow for us in the last two weeks. Mya loves to hear that school is canceled, but then she is bored all day when I'm working and Nora is at daycare. She has already logged in numerous hours of reading and watching TV as well as countless hours of Super Mario Brothers, Family Feud, Deal or No Deal and re-organizing her room. She really needs to go back to school.

Lately Nora has turned into Mya's favorite "toy". She gets dressed up, goes to the beauty salon, and just gets manhandled in general. Typically she doesn't mind all of the moving around though. Nora is a big fan of Mya and will take the abuse for much longer than expected. We are pretty sure Nora can hold her own though, she recently had her 6 month checkup, our little full figured girl weighed it at 18lbs and 27 inches long; both in the 90th percentile. She's proportional!

Nora started swim classes last weekend and had so much fun. She wasn't too thrilled when the water wasn't very warm (mom was even less impressed), but she quickly got over it. I am proud to say she was the youngest one there and the only infant that never cried! She was either squealing with delight, splashing like crazy, or people watching the entire time. One little boy fell asleep, it was the cutest thing! Nora's favorite part was the frog slide and sitting in the water immediately prior to it. She was splashing so much her head and face were completely wet as was Mom's face; and her little arms were flapping uncontrollably when she got to go down the slide. Oh, we can't wait for next week! Mya's class had been full, but while we were there some of the ladies recognized her and got her a spot for next weekend! Two little water babies now!

Mya was in charge of the camera, so we only got a couple good shots, you can barely see a smile here.
